Digital Citizenship

I hit the “Digital Citizenship” lessons right when the school begins, and we have a great collection of staying safe online books for K-1 students, as well as a pretty thorough series of lessons about being a responsible citizen both in person and online, the best way to protect your identity and keep safe online, why you should use ALL CAPS EVER BECAUSE HELLO YOU LOOK LIKE YOU ARE RAGING.

We teach students that nothing you post online is secret or temporary, and why; and that you are always building a “digital footprint” or a path of written and photographic thoughts and images that represent who you are personally and in the very near future, professionally.

Here is a page of links to all my very favorite rich resources for educating and empowering elementary students about how to be and how to behave online!
